Happy New Year from Mike & Bonnie

Gib/All: Mike here. Please pardon my enormous lapse in comments and submissions. Here is a **very** quick synopsis. Bon has been home for over a month -- since Nov. 28. Prognosis looks quite good -- as evidenced by their willingness to release her from Minneapolis so she could come home. I will not spend a lot of time on that, as Gib has pretty much covered it.

She is in great spirits. Simply great to be home for her. And great for us to have her home. It really did feel like a Holiday Season for us here. Lots to celebrate. Lots to be thankful for. We actually got the green light from her team of doctors back here at UCSF that it was OK to go to Tahoe for New Years. We got rained out, but had a blast nonetheless. Lots of good friends and good cheer, some sledding, and actually capped off the weekend by taking the girls skating for the time ever back here, in San Mateo. (No. We did not let Mommy even get close to the ice). Both girls loved it; both girls also love saying their grandpa's Dartmouth Hockey team nickname: Bullet; and Isabel, unprompted talked about making learning to skate her goal for 2006. Mommy beamed. (So did Daddy).

As for her health, largely good, with good progress on all the blood count numbers. Still some minor skirmishes with very mild fevers and nausea. But all in all very good and very much on track. Biggest challenge for Bon is trying to put some weight back on. We just perfected my recipe for a fruit-protein smoothie which has 24g of protein, low fat, and about 500+ calories. Bon loves them.

Hope this note finds you all well. Thank you so much for the continued amazing, gracious, and selfless support.

Happy New Year to all.

Best,
Mike
